GGAN Help Fund

About the GGAN Help Fund


This fund will be used to provide grants to members who require support to take part in Guiding activities or purchase Guiding resources. The fund has been set up to support those who could not afford to take part/purchase resources otherwise.


We aim to review and respond to any requests within 3 weeks.


This fund could be used for members in circumstances such as;


  • Multiple family members are in Girlguiding
  • Unemployed/receiving benefits
  • Recent drop in income (e.g. sick pay, maternity pay, redundancy etc)

How to submit an application form for the fund


You can complete a request to our Help Fund via the form below;

Phase 3 of the GGAN Help Fund is now open to new applications.


We review applications once a week and allocate money first come, first served


The fund will close Friday 11th May, or when the funds are all allocated - whichever comes first

Criteria:

  • Must be an active member of Ayrshire North county (Covers all of North Ayrshire and half of East Ayrshire (Kilmarnock, Irvine Valley, Stewarton, and surrounding areas))
  • Maximum of 1 request, per member, per term
    (3 per year).
  • Request must be made by parent/guardian of young member benefitting, or volunteer who will benefit (i.e. request not to be submitted by Unit Leader on behalf of another member).
  • Funds can only be used for Guiding resources
    (i.e. uniform, badge book) or Unit subs
    .
  • Funds cannot be used for international events.
  • Funds cannot be used for resources for an event (e.g. sleeping bag, backpack etc.).
  • Funds to be paid directly to the Unit / Division / County on behalf of the member OR a gift
    voucher for Girlguiding Scotland is provided.
  • Maximum of £100 per member per request.
