“I was presented with my Queen’s Guide Award this month, in the House of Commons in London. The Chief Guide presented it, and Sally Kettle (a transatlantic rower) was the motivational speaker. There were loads of chances to meet other people who had also got their award, and find out what everyone else had achieved. I did loads of things to get mine, including learning how to cross stitch (more fun than it sounds!), a trip to Germany, a research project on blood and organ donation, and lots and lots of camping! I had a great time working towards my award, and being presented in such a fancy location was a good way to finish it off.”
